As an HVAC Maintenance Technician at Willard Heating and Cooling, you'll be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for both residential and commercial clients. You'll ensure that HVAC systems operate efficiently and effectively, while also providing top-tier customer service to help maintain the comfort of our clients' indoor environments.

What you Will Do:

 

  • Conduct routine inspections of HVAC systems to identify potential issues and ensure systems are functioning efficiently.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as cleaning filters, checking refrigerant levels, lubricating components, and tightening connections to extend the lifespan of HVAC equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, addressing issues with electrical components, motors, compressors, fans, thermostats, and other system parts.
  • Run comprehensive tests on heating and cooling systems to verify optimal performance and energy efficiency.
  • Educate customers on system care, offering recommendations for improving performance and preventing future issues.
  • Maintain detailed records of service performed, parts replaced, and issues identified during inspections, providing thorough reports to management and customers.
  • Respond promptly to emergency service calls, ensuring timely repairs and minimizing system downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, local codes, and industry regulations while working on HVAC equipment.
  • Assist with the installation of new HVAC units and upgrades to existing systems, ensuring all installations meet company and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and customer service teams to deliver high-quality service and ensure customer satisfaction.

What You Need:

  • Must have an EPA License
  • Minimum 1+ years as a HVAC Maintenance Technician
  • Must pass a drug screen, MVR & background check
  • Good work ethic and willingness to learn new methods.
  • Physical dexterity

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems and lead customers to informed and confident buying decisions. 
  • Maintain communication with dispatch, your manager, and the parts and installation teams. 
  • Keep your company truck clean, inside and out, and maintain inventory 
  • Properly complete paperwork. 
  • Join the on-call rotation. 
  • Participate in training allowing you to grow and develop as a professional. 
  • Have or be willing to get the proper certifications. We can help you with this. 

Qualifications

You must have these things: 

  • Good work ethic and willingness to learn new methods. 
  • A valid US Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record. 
  • Willing to submit to a pre-employment drug test and background check
